The FireWise Program is a program designed to help educate members of the community of what to do to prepare themselves and property for a fire and what to do when you are threatened with a fire.

It also is designed to help members of the community to be informed of various Fire Danger Periods and what should and shouldn't be done within those periods.

In Yarramundi, at events put on by the Brigade, showbags have been available. These showbags contain various fire safety information, including checklists, and various items for kids.

In 2006, we plan to have door knocks around the area, where property owners can talk with firefighters and gain advice and knowlege on what they can do around their house to make it more dependable when threatened by fire.
